Hands-on barista training for beginners

Cafe Ready Intensive is a four-hour, hands-on small-group session at First Fruits Coffee in Labrador for adults and young people aged 13+ who want to build practical coffee and café skills.

What you’ll practise

• Espresso extraction, dosing, tamping, shot timing and yield
• How to make grinder adjustments with a clear reason
• Milk texturing for common cafe drinks
• Basic latte art foundations
• Practical cafe workflow, cleanliness and service habits

Who can attend

No previous barista experience is needed. Adults and young people aged 13+ are welcome. This is a practical skills session; it is not a job-placement service, accredited qualification or online course.

Participants under 18 require parent/guardian booking and consent. Sessions are delivered by a trainer who holds a current Queensland Blue Card.
